Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the 3 Red Birds Coaching website, coaching services, consultations, workshops, group programs, private communities, recorded courses, digital materials, and related offerings.
3 Red Birds Coaching is a business operated by Looking Glass Counseling LLC, located at:

Throughout these Terms, “3 Red Birds Coaching,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to 3 Red Birds Coaching and Looking Glass Counseling LLC. “You” refers to any website visitor, client, participant, registrant, purchaser, or user of our services or materials.
By accessing the website, registering for a service, making a purchase, joining a private community, or using our materials, you agree to these Terms. Please do not use the website or purchase an offering if you do not agree to them.
1. Eligibility
The website, coaching services, consultations, workshops, programs, communities, courses, and digital products are intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old.
By registering, purchasing, or participating, you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms.
Individuals under 18 should not submit personal information, register for services, make purchases, or participate in 3 Red Birds Coaching offerings.
2. Coaching and Educational Services
3 Red Birds Coaching provides coaching, personal-development, reflective, and educational services designed to support self-awareness, learning, decision-making, and personal growth.
Participation may include individual coaching, group coaching, workshops, reflective exercises, journaling, doodling activities, educational presentations, recorded content, downloadable resources, and private community discussions.
Your participation is voluntary. You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, well-being, and results.
3. Coaching Is Not Counseling or Therapy
Services purchased through 3 Red Birds Coaching are coaching and educational services. They are not:
Counseling or psychotherapy
Mental-health diagnosis or treatment
Medical care or medical advice
Crisis intervention
A substitute for services from a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional
Participation in 3 Red Birds Coaching does not create a therapist-client relationship with JoAnn Ristau or with Looking Glass Counseling.
Although JoAnn Ristau is a licensed professional counselor, her counseling credentials do not change the nature of services purchased through 3 Red Birds Coaching. Counseling services offered through Looking Glass Counseling are separate from coaching services offered through 3 Red Birds Coaching.
4. Not for Emergencies
3 Red Birds Coaching does not provide emergency, crisis, or urgent mental-health services.
The website, email, contact forms, scheduling system, coaching sessions, workshops, group programs, and private communities should not be used to request emergency assistance.
Anyone experiencing an immediate safety concern or mental-health emergency should contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource in their location.
Messages are not monitored continuously, and immediate responses are not guaranteed.
5. Sensitive Information
The website and coaching forms are not designed to collect medical records, mental-health diagnoses, medication information, trauma histories, crisis details, or other highly sensitive health information.
Please do not submit confidential medical, mental-health, crisis, financial, or other highly sensitive information through:
Website forms
Email
Scheduling forms
Workshop-registration forms
Private community groups
General coaching communications
If information of this nature is needed for another professional service, an appropriate and secure method should be used through that provider.
6. Registration and Payment
Payment for individual coaching sessions is due when the session is booked or before the scheduled appointment.
Payment for workshops, group programs, digital materials, and recorded courses is due at registration or purchase unless a different payment arrangement is clearly stated.
Registration is not confirmed until the required payment has been received.
Prices, payment deadlines, included services, program dates, and any offer-specific conditions will be shown on the applicable registration page, sales page, checkout page, payment link, invoice, or written agreement.
7. Payment Plans
Payment plans may be offered for selected programs at the discretion of 3 Red Birds Coaching.
Unless a payment-plan option is specifically offered, the full purchase price is due at registration.
When a payment plan is offered, the installment amounts, payment dates, and other applicable terms will be provided before enrollment. A payment plan divides the full program fee into installments. It does not convert the program into a pay-per-session arrangement.
When automatic payments are used, you authorize the scheduled installments to be charged to the payment method you provide.
Choosing to stop participating after a program begins does not automatically cancel the remaining payment obligation.
If an installment payment fails, you will have seven days after the due date to update the payment method or bring the account current. Access to sessions, materials, recordings, courses, or the private community may be suspended until the payment issue is resolved.
8. Individual Coaching Cancellations
Clients may cancel or reschedule an individual coaching session without a cancellation fee. As much advance notice as reasonably possible is appreciated.
Any payment already made may be applied to a rescheduled session or refunded if the client chooses not to continue.
If a client does not attend a scheduled session and provides no notice before the session begins, the payment is normally nonrefundable, and the session may be considered used.
A one-time courtesy exception or an exception for an emergency may be provided at the discretion of 3 Red Birds Coaching.
9. Workshop and Group-Program Cancellations
A participant may receive a full refund when cancelling before the workshop or group program begins.
Once a workshop or program has begun, payments are normally nonrefundable. This includes remaining installments owed under an agreed payment plan.
At the discretion of 3 Red Birds Coaching, an exception may be provided in the form of:
A transfer to another offering
A credit toward a future program
An emergency exception
Another reasonable resolution
Some offers may include a special trial or preview arrangement, such as attending the first session before deciding whether to continue. When such an arrangement is offered, the conditions stated on the registration or sales page will control and may differ from this general policy.
10. Digital Products and Recorded Courses
Because downloadable materials and recorded courses may be delivered or made accessible immediately, purchases are normally nonrefundable once:
A digital file has been downloaded
A private link has been provided
Course or membership access has been activated
If a customer receives the wrong item, is charged more than once, or cannot access the purchased material because of a problem on our end, 3 Red Birds Coaching will correct the issue or provide an appropriate refund.
Access to self-paced recorded courses lasts for the period stated on the applicable sales or checkout page. No promise of permanent or lifetime access is made unless it is expressly stated in writing for a particular offering.
11. Cancellation by 3 Red Birds Coaching
If 3 Red Birds Coaching cancels a coaching session, workshop, program, or other paid service, the participant will be offered an appropriate option, such as:
Rescheduling
Transfer to a comparable future offering
Credit toward another service
A refund for the cancelled service
3 Red Birds Coaching is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by a participant in connection with a cancelled or rescheduled offering.
12. Online Sessions and Recordings
Consultations, individual coaching, workshops, and group programs may be delivered through Zoom or another online video platform.
Individual one-on-one coaching sessions are not recorded.
Selected workshops and group programs may be recorded for participant replay access. Participants will be informed when a session is being recorded.
Reasonable efforts will be made to record only the facilitator and shared presentation materials. Participant names and video are not intentionally included in replay recordings, although complete exclusion cannot always be guaranteed when participants interact during a live online session.
Unless a different period is stated for a particular offering, replay access will remain available for 90 days after the workshop or program ends.
Replays are for registered participants only. They may not be copied, downloaded unless expressly permitted, posted, sold, shared, distributed, or made available to anyone who is not registered.
13. Private Communities and Messaging Groups
Participants in longer programs may be invited to join a private online community or messaging group hosted through a third-party platform.
The community may be used for program announcements, reminders, discussion, questions, reflections, resources, and participant interaction.
Information posted in the community may be visible to 3 Red Birds Coaching and other members of the group. Participants should share only information they are comfortable disclosing to the other registered members.
Although the group is intended to be private, 3 Red Birds Coaching cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality, refrain from taking screenshots, or refrain from copying or sharing information.
Community access is limited to registered participants and may end when the associated program ends or at another time stated in the program information.
14. Group Privacy and Confidentiality
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others.
Participants may not share another person’s:
Name
Image
Story
Comments
Reflections
Screenshots
Contact information
Personal or identifying information
Because workshops, programs, and communities include multiple participants, 3 Red Birds Coaching cannot guarantee that every participant will follow the confidentiality expectations.
Participants should share only what they feel comfortable sharing in a group environment.
15. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to communicate respectfully and avoid conduct that interferes with another person’s safety, privacy, participation, or learning experience.
Prohibited conduct includes:
Threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or intimidating behavior
Repeatedly disrupting a session or group
Violating another participant’s privacy
Sharing private links, recordings, posts, or materials
Impersonating another person
Posting unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or inappropriate content
Using the community for unauthorized solicitation or promotion
Misusing the services, materials, or technology
3 Red Birds Coaching may remove content, restrict participation, suspend access, or remove a participant from a workshop, program, course, or community when reasonably necessary.
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in removal without a refund.
16. Communications and Response Times
Email, contact forms, scheduling messages, and private-community messages are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or emergency needs.
3 Red Birds Coaching will make a reasonable effort to respond during regular business days. However, a particular response time and immediate availability are not guaranteed.
Participation in a private community does not include unlimited private coaching or continuous access to JoAnn Ristau unless that support is specifically included in the purchased program.
17. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and all materials created or provided by 3 Red Birds Coaching are owned by or licensed to Looking Glass Counseling LLC.
Protected materials may include:
Written content
Program names and descriptions
Worksheets and reflection guides
Journaling and doodling activities
Slides and presentations
Videos and recordings
Courses and lessons
Graphics and illustrations
Downloads and digital products
Coaching frameworks, methods, and exercises
Logos, branding, and website content
Materials provided through a purchase or program are licensed to the individual purchaser for personal, noncommercial use only.
They may not be copied, reproduced, modified for resale, distributed, posted online, taught, republished, uploaded to another platform, used to create another program, or shared with others without written permission.
Participants may keep worksheets, guides, PDFs, or other materials they legitimately download during their access period for their continuing personal use. This permission does not include the right to distribute, teach, sell, publish, or share those materials.
18. Individual Access and Account Sharing
Registration and access are for the individual purchaser only.
Participants may not share:
Private registration or payment links
Passwords or login credentials
Zoom links
Replay links
Course access
Download links
Community invitations
Paid materials or recordings
Unauthorized sharing may result in access being suspended or terminated without a refund.
19. Participant-Created Content
Participants retain ownership of original comments, questions, photos, reflections, and other content they create and post within a private community.
By posting content in a community, the participant gives 3 Red Birds Coaching limited permission to display, store, and use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the community and deliver the associated program.
This permission does not allow 3 Red Birds Coaching to use a participant’s private post publicly as a testimonial or advertisement without separate permission.
3 Red Birds Coaching may remove content that violates these Terms, another person’s rights or privacy, the group rules, or applicable law.
20. Testimonials and Participant Feedback
3 Red Birds Coaching will not publicly use a participant’s name, image, written feedback, private post, or personal story as a testimonial without permission.
Permission may be withdrawn for future use by contacting joann@3redbirdscoaching.com. Materials already printed, distributed, or published may not always be immediately removable.
Testimonials describe individual experiences. They do not guarantee or promise that another person will receive the same result.
21. No Guaranteed Results
Coaching, workshops, programs, recorded courses, communities, and educational materials are intended to support reflection, learning, self-awareness, and personal growth.
3 Red Birds Coaching does not guarantee any particular personal, professional, emotional, financial, relational, or other result.
Each participant’s experience is different. Progress depends on many factors, including participation, personal decisions, effort, follow-through, readiness, and individual circumstances.
You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to apply information presented through the services.
22. Program Changes
3 Red Birds Coaching may make reasonable changes to:
Program dates or schedules
Lesson order
Presentation materials
Activities
Guest contributors
Community platforms
Technology
Delivery methods
Significant changes will be communicated to registered participants. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve the overall purpose and value of the offering.
23. Technology and Availability
3 Red Birds Coaching will make reasonable efforts to provide reliable access to online sessions, recordings, courses, downloads, and community spaces.
Uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Interruptions may result from internet outages, equipment problems, platform failures, scheduled maintenance, security concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
When reasonably possible, 3 Red Birds Coaching may reschedule a service, provide an alternative method of delivery, extend access, or restore access after the interruption is resolved.
24. Third-Party Platforms and Links
The website and services may use or link to third-party services, including:
Squarespace
Google and Google Drive
Canva
Calendly
Stripe
Zoom
Email providers
A private community or messaging platform
These companies operate independently and maintain their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, service limitations, and availability.
3 Red Birds Coaching does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, actions, or privacy practices of third-party platforms.
Use of a third-party service may also be governed by that company’s terms and policies.
25. Information Security
3 Red Birds Coaching uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information.
However, no website, email system, cloud-storage service, payment platform, scheduling service, video platform, or online community can guarantee complete security.
Participants should avoid transmitting highly sensitive or confidential information through these systems.

26. International Users
3 Red Birds Coaching offerings may be available to adults located inside and outside the United States.
International visitors and participants are responsible for determining whether access to or participation in an offering is permitted under the laws and regulations that apply in their location.
Information submitted through the website or services may be transferred to and processed in the United States or in locations where our third-party providers operate.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to a particular customer.
27. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3 Red Birds Coaching and Looking Glass Counseling LLC will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from or relating to:
Use of or inability to use the website
Coaching services
Workshops or group programs
Private communities
Recorded courses or replays
Digital products or materials
Third-party platforms
Decisions made based on educational content
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of 3 Red Birds Coaching and Looking Glass Counseling LLC relating to a particular service or purchase will not exceed the amount the customer paid for that service or product.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
28. Informal Resolution of Disagreements
Before beginning a formal legal claim, you and 3 Red Birds Coaching agree to contact one another and make a good-faith effort to resolve the disagreement informally for at least 30 days.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent relief when reasonably necessary or from exercising legal rights that cannot be waived.
29. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded.
30. Changes to These Terms
3 Red Birds Coaching may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, legal requirements, or third-party platforms.
The updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
Changes will apply prospectively from the effective date unless a different application is required by law. Offer-specific terms accepted at the time of purchase will continue to apply to that purchase unless the parties agree otherwise.
31. Severability
If any portion of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
32. No Waiver
A failure by 3 Red Birds Coaching to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce it later.
33. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Coaching Disclaimer, applicable sales page, registration information, checkout terms, and any written offer-specific agreement, form the agreement governing your use of the applicable service or purchase.
When an offer-specific term directly conflicts with these general Terms, the clearly stated offer-specific term will control for that particular offering.
